FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When is the haunted house open?

​

The haunted house opens on September 28th, operating Fridays and weekends through November 2nd.

​

Where are you located?

​

We are located at Action Wildlife Foundation in Goshen, Connecticut. The address is 435 Torrington Rd, Goshen, CT 06756.

​

Is it an outdoor or indoor attraction? How should I dress?

​

The attraction is completely outdoors. Please dress warm, and in appropriate attire/ footwear for walking long distances on uneven terrain. (No expensive clothing, footwear, or jewelry is recommended. High heels, flip flops, and sandals are NOT allowed.)

​

How much do tickets cost?

​

General admission costs $27.50 per guest, and fast pass admission costs $37.50 per guest. Please visit the “Buy Tickets” page for more information.

​

Is there on-site parking? Do I have to pay for it?

​

Yes, there is on-site parking. Due to a limited amount of parking space, there is a $6.00 parking fee (Cash only).

​

Is there an age limit?

​

No, but we do not recommend the haunted attraction for children under the age of 13. There are no refunds if your children can’t make it through the attraction.

​

How long does it take to go through?

​

The haunted attraction takes about 25 minutes to walk through. However, the pace in which you walk through the attraction will determine the length of your experience. 

​

What happens if it rains? Do I get a refund if I already purchased my tickets?

​

Depending on the severity of the rain, we may not open. We will announce our closure status on the home page of our website, and social media. You will not receive a refund, as this is a non-refundable event. You will be given the option to use your tickets on other select remaining nights of the season.

​

Can I get out if I’m too scared? 

​

Yes. If you are too scared at any time, and can’t continue on through the attraction, please notify any actor or staff member. They will break character immediately, and escort you out of the attraction. (No refunds)

​

If my ticket is for 8:00pm, do I get in at 8:00pm? When should I arrive? 

​

Timed ticketing is a wait reduction strategy only. Your ticket time is an arrival time, not an entry time. Wait times vary based on each night during Halloween season. To reduce your wait time further, attend earlier in the month, on a Sunday, or purchase VIP admission. Please arrive 15 minutes before your time slot. 

​

Can I bring a bag or purse into the attraction?

​

No backpacks of any kind are allowed inside the attraction.

​

Can I wear my own Halloween costume?

​

No Halloween masks or costumes of any kind are allowed inside the attraction.

​

Can I take photos or videos inside the attraction?

​

No photography or video are allowed inside the attraction. However, photography and video are encouraged in the queue line, and ticket booth/ concession area.

​

How many people enter at a time?

​

The maximum number of individuals per group, entering the attraction at a time is 6.

​

Are there discounts for children?

​

No. Children must also walk through the attraction on their own feet. Being carried by an adult is a safety hazard, due to the uneven terrain. 

​

Do you offer group rates? 

​

Are there strobe lights and fog?

​

Yes, there are many areas of the haunted attraction with strobe lights and fog. It is not recommended for individuals with epilepsy. We also don’t recommend entry for those who suffer with asthma, heart issues, back/ neck problems, pregnancy, or any other medical conditions that may be aggravated by the intense nature of the attraction. Those with medical braces of any kind will be denied admission, as it will not be safe to enter the attraction.

What happens if I lose my phone or keys in the attraction?

​

We are NOT RESPONSIBLE for ANY lost, stolen, or damaged items. We will not stop the show to go back inside and look for your phone or belongings if you drop them. We will only go back to retrieve it once the last guest is out of the attraction for the night. We are also not responsible for the condition of your items once found.

​

Is there security?

​

Yes. There will be security present every night of the event, certified by the Connecticut State Police Department. All guests will be wand checked prior to entering the property.

​

Will the actors touch us? Can we touch the actors?

​

NO! The actors will not touch you, and you will not touch the actors or props/ sets. If you are unable to follow these rules, you will be removed without refund, and potential legal actions will follow.

​

Who should not enter The Forsaken Lands?

​

Those who suffer from the following, but not limited to, should not enter… Respiratory, heart, asthma, broken bones, pregnancy, back/ neck issues, abnormal blood pressure, motion sickness, epilepsy, recent surgery, mental health issues, claustrophobia, and/ or any other conditions that have the potential of being aggravated by the nature of this attraction.

Can I enter the attraction if under the influence of alcohol or drugs?

​

No. Those who attempt to enter under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be denied entry without refund, handled by security, and will potentially have to deal with the police. 

​

Are food and refreshments available?

​

Yes. Action Wildlife offers snacks, and refreshments at their snack bar, connected to the museum building.

​

Can I work for The Forsaken Lands?

​
